*** FOUNDATION 2021 TRANSITION PROCESS AND SCHOOL TOURS ***

Due to the Covid-19 restrictions schools are unable to hold any tours of the school until further notice. The Sunbury Network of Primary Schools intend to hold tours and information sessions during Term 3, dependant on advice from the Department of Education at that time. These dates will be promoted on school websites, Facebook pages, local childcare centres and kindergartens as soon as they are confirmed.

2021 enrolment packs are now available from your local primary school.  Please contact the office to request a copy.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we all work through the COVID environment.

Sunbury Heights Primary School is a great state school in a great state school system.

If you have any neighbours or friends who have children ready to begin school, please encourage them to view our website and Sunbury Heights Primary School Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/sunburyheightsprimaryschool to find out what Sunbury Heights has to offer. Remind them that when choosing a school, their "first stop" should be their neighbourhood school.

Please also see the following note from the department regarding student placement.

Student Placement

The department has recently introduced zoning to ensure students have access to neighborhood schools. The designated neighborhood school is the school that is nearest the student’s permanent residence, unless the regional director needs to restrict new enrolments at a school.

Our school zone

Our school zone is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au. Findmyschool.vic.gov.au hosts the most up-to-date information about Victorian school zones for 2020 onwards.

Students residing in this zone are guaranteed a place at our school, which is determined on the basis of your permanent residential address.

The Department provides guidance through the School Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their designated neighbourhood school and the freedom to choose other schools, subject to facility limitations.

You can find more information and answers to frequently asked questions on the Department’s website under School zones.
